Update: The Modern Warfare 2 user complaints have not gone unnoticed. According to Robert Bowling’s Twitter update, Trophy unlocks are now available. He wrote, “PS3 Status: Patch successful. Trophy Unlocks on PS3 now available in Single Player & Spec Ops. Adding more servers to meet MP demands.”
He also gave an explanation for the problems some are facing with online play on the PlayStation 3. “The amount of players on MW2 PSN overwhelmed the PSN presence server which updates ‘what you’re doing’ and is essential to parties.”
Twitter updates can be quite cryptic, but it sounds like this patch may at least help with Trophy support. We’ll keep you posted on how the new servers are going.

Original Article: The launch of Modern Warfare 2 on the PlayStation 3 has not been without a few hiccups. Several users have reported some problems, including party invite issues. To remedy this problem, Infinity Ward will release a patch this Friday to correct the problems.
You can also expect the patch to update Trophies, but we don’t have more details on this issue.
